Form 4 Loyola Student Writes Award Winning Poem on Youth For Sustainable Development Goals

Dear fellow youth, it is good and a right thing to use our talents. Because, if we don’t use and embrace them, they will be taken from us.

Here is a poem which tells about the summary of the Sustainable Development Goals. As we know, in the sustainable development goals, goal number 13 is about climate, therefore we should use our talents and different skills to make people aware of these sustainable development goals for their betterment.

Youth For Sustainable Development Goals

1. Poverty is a cause of death

Unemployment and every thing else,

To resist it needs strength,

And it’s by us and nobody else.

2. The world is filled with greens

Land and fertile to support all meals,

Food should not be a problem indeed,

For we all have ability to plant and dig.

3. Water is a basic need

It is needed by many,

Sanitation for all should be,

Not by few but by many.

4. Economic growth is what we aim for

We should fight against unemployment,

People should work hard to earn more,

Illegal works should be kept at rest.

5. Production must be accelerated

To ensure maximum consumption,

People should be very committed,

So as to fulfill the ambition.

6. Sustainability of the ocean

And lives of creatures in the sea,

They should be in a good condition,

To ensure the surviving of species.

7. The earth is warming, haven’t you heard?

We should take are of our environment,

The carbon levels are getting absurd,

Measures to be taken to combat climate change.

8. Youth should understand

That this is their world,

And together we can stand,

To fight all this without a sword.
